Advanced Product Design course, Shenkar, 2024

Overview

The brief
The brief required selecting an organization from healthcare, education/culture/tourism, or government sectors. The task was to identify an area in need of improvement or lacking digital transformation. The objective is to define the problem and opportunity, and then create a digital solution.

The challenge
I chose the field of education. The challenge was to identify an area within this sector that demands improvement or is yet to undergo digital transformation.

The App

An application intended for people in the third age of Maccabi Health Services. The application offers exercises to train memory and cognitive skills according to the user's hobbies and interests, and offers participation in mindfulness workshops.

Main Goals

  1. To prevent memory deterioration in adults aged 65 and above through a structured monitoring system for all members

  2. To enhance the awareness of the mindfulness workshops offered on the Maccabi website, specifically targeting senior individuals.

Pain point

Older individuals' memory lapses are not systematically monitored, typically leading to detection when it is already quite delayed.

What would success look like?

  • Multiple downloads and use of the application among members aged 65+

  • Increasing registration percentages for mindfulness workshops

  • Improving cognitive abilities in a proven way with the help of the application
